Oakhurst Real Estate - Decatur, GA
A small neighborhood within Decatur’s city limits, Oakhurst was built in the early 1900s as another “streetcar suburb.” Actually, the trolley lines crossed at the intersection of what is now the center of Oakhurst, Oakhurst Village. While only 100 people called Oakhurst home when it was founded in 1910, more than 5,000 people do today, a number large enough to make Oakhurst an important Atlanta neighborhood, yet small enough to retain that small-town feel.
